Now, let's talk about podcasts.

If you have a podcast or you are starting a podcast, here are two things that you need to do so that you can maximize what I would call your podcast real estate both on and off your website.

  1. Put your podcast onto your website — typically this is done using a second blog page on Squarespace. You can see my website as an example. I have my blog and my podcast page. Each podcast episode is a separate "blog post" on my podcast page. This serves two purposes: its makes it super easy for your guests to link to their specific episode. It also makes it easy for YOU to send anyone to a specific episode that you've recorded. Apple/Spotify/whatever player links are not the way. Send them to your website.
  2. Have square episode artwork — this is simply so it's easy to share your podcast episodes, especially for any guests you have. If you have episode art that is a different size, it's hard for others to add to their media page, which typically already has a bunch of square graphics on it from other featured-in media. Squares also work for all social media platforms.

Alrighty, that's all I've got for you.

Have a great week!
Lex

ps- as a reminder, I recommend you host your podcast on Buzzsprout (affiliate link)

Happy Monday, Reader and welcome to the Monday Minute! I learned a concept in grad school called "The Spoon Theory" from a patient I treated who had multiple sclerosis (MS). You can read more about The Spoon Theory here (please do). In short, the concept was coined by writer Christine Miserandino, who was living with a chronic illness. She used "spoons" to depict her finite amount of energy each day to live her life and complete the necessary daily tasks from eating and getting dressed to...

Happy Monday, Reader and welcome to the Monday Minute! Today, I want to share a DM I received from a friend on Instagram. As you may or may not know, I have monthly done-for-you SEO services and as a part of that service, I write blogs for clients. I enjoy it so much because I get to help my clients get found on Google but I also get to use my physical therapist brain (I know most people in my ecosystem know that I am trained as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, but I also have others tell me...

Happy Monday, Reader and welcome to the Monday Minute! Today I wanted to remind you about testing your processes. On a coaching call last week, one of my clients was confused about what the consumer experience would look like and "hoped" that it was good. The good news: you don't have to guess when it comes to this stuff. EVERYTHING can be tested. Whether you're a brick-and-mortar business owner or an online business owner, I can bet you have some sort of process you have each of your clients...
